Our selection of over 100 perennials includes many shade plants. Halfen Garden Center has the largest selection of Hostas in the Chippewa Valley, offering over 500 varieties. Customers will find many accessory items necessary for their gardening needs. Halfen Garden Center and Hosta Heaven is a family run business that has been in business since 1991. We offer plants that are priced to fit every budget.

A BIOGRAPHY OF TERRENCE C. HALFEN

Welcome

In April of 2008 Terrence C. Halfen was inducted into the Cambridge Who’s Who for excellence in horticulture.

Terrence C. Halfen is the owner of Halfen Garden Center and Hosta Gardens located at 19130 72nd Ave., Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. He has operated this business since 1991. Before that time he was Material's Handling Supervisor at St Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin from 1971 to 1986. He graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School in 1965 receiving the Industrial Arts Award. He then attended The University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Mathematics. After ending his employment at St Joseph's Hospital he earned an Associate Degree from The Chippewa Valley Technical College, Eau Claire in Computer Programming and Operations. Graduating with a 4.0 GPA, in 1989.

Halfen Garden Center and Hosta Gardens was formed in late 1991 after its founder, Terrence C. Halfen, who spent most of his life growing plants, decided to try selling the plants he was growing.
Now, Halfen Garden Center and Hosta Gardens sells products retail at their store located at 19130 72nd Ave., Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. They offer over 500 varieties of Hostas, plus over 100 varieties of other perennials, annuals, vegetables, vines, fern, and supplies to help you with your gardening needs.
